Cardinal's Story

Hi there! My name is Cardinal and I was surrendered to the shelter along with my siblings. We may have started life as strays, but you’d never know it because we absolutely adore people and all the love they bring. We’re a friendly, affectionate bunch who love to play, cuddle, and soak up every bit of attention you’re willing to give, and we get along wonderfully with other cats too. If you’re looking for a little flurry of purrs and playful paws to brighten your home, we’re ready to flutter right into your hearts and make ourselves at home.

We are about 3 months old and arrived at the MCSPCA on 10/4/25. Would you like to stop by and visit with us? Please call 518-842-8050 to make an appointment. Thank you and we hope to see you soon!

Montgomery County SPCA's Adoption Policy
At the Montgomery County SPCA, we are dedicated to finding responsible, forever homes for all the pets in our care. To that end, we have created a thorough adoption process which helps us achieve this goal. This process includes a check of veterinary history records on any pets you currently have, and a home visit. If you rent your home, we require written proof (letter or lease) from your landlord that you are allowed to have pets. We undertake this kind of thorough review to ensure that animals who have already been discarded at least once will never have to experience this again.
