Caramel's Story

Meet Caramel! This handsome 9-pound tabby is searching for a loving home that will understand his needs and help him become the best cat he can be! You see, Caramel wants attention, but on his terms. He would also benefit from regular gentle play sessions so he can utilize his hunting skills by chasing toys and expending his young cat energy in a positive way. When he has had enough attention, he will let you know, so he needs a family that will respect his boundaries. A cat-savvy home with children who are 13 years and older would be best. Caramel is good about using his litterbox, and is food-motivated. He needs some time to feel comfortable with new people and situations, but with some understanding and patience, he will be your best friend. Caramel is a sweet boy who will thrive in the right home, so come and adopt him today!

If you'd like to meet our available pets, please check the "shelter information" box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours! Both of our locations are open Tuesdays and Wednesdays 12-5 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays 12-7 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays 11 a.m.-5 p.m. For more information on our adoption process, including requirements and fees, visit: www.fairfaxcounty.gov/animalshelter/adopt
