Captain's Story

Meet Captain,

Captain was rescued down by the Chelsea boat club. We're pretty sure he was abandoned out there for quite some time. Not sure how he survived out by an industrial area but he did

Captain is a handsome young tabby, around 2 years old, with beautiful earthy-toned tiger stripes. He's sweet but a little shy at first, so he's looking for someone who will give him the patience he deserves.

Once he trusts you, Captain is all about affection. He'll make great eye contact, follow you from room to room like your little shadow, flop into full-body rolls, make air biscuits, and happily soak up belly rubs and side-of-the-face scritches. Stop petting him too soon, and he'll gently let you know it's simply not acceptable with a soft paw tap or an affectionate love nibble.

Captain enjoys feather toys and playing on top of the sheets. He's okay with nail trims, isn't food motivated at all, and would likely do well with another friendly cat. Because he's still building confidence, he'd do best in a home without young children.

If you're looking for a loyal little shadow with lots of personality and even more love to give, Captain may be your perfect match.

Captain does have an eye trauma. We're not sure if this was done by a person or something else. It doesn't cause him any pain but it does need to be monitored.
