Canvas's Story

Canvas is such a special boy! Despite being left outside, in the freezing cold by his heartless owners, Canvas loves people and would make addition to a home with another playful cat. He would also be ok as a single, as long as he gets plenty of attention. He’s snuggly and curious and confident and loves to play and watch birds from his favorite window perch and sleep on his foster mom’s chest. I love when he rolls over for pets, exposing his white belly and adorable goatee. He’s in a foster home with two older cats who he is deferential to, but they won’t play with him, and so I’m eager to find him a forever home asap. Canvas is just a few years old and fully vetted. He has feline asthma which requires an inhaler twice a day, but otherwise is a happy, healthy guy! Please fill out the adoption application below if you’d like to meet him

Bookstore Cats's Adoption Policy

Filling out an adoption application is the first part of the process. Once the application is reviewed, I will check references and contact the applicant to set up a video interview. During the video the adopter will give me a tour of their living space, so that I can check for solid screens on all of the windows and any potential hazards to the cat. If approved, we will set up a time for them to meet the cat, either by video chat first or in person.
