Candy's Story

Candy was surrendered to our center because his former guardian wanted an outdoor cat, but Candy kept trying to get inside. He was cold! And cats should be kept inside to be safe and protect native wildlife! Candy is only a young kitten, and he is so affectionate and sweet. He has his whole life ahead of him, if only there was someone to show him how good it could be! Candy might be considered for a home with small, friendly dogs, other cats or children who are kind to animals and understand their needs, ques and boundaries.

Our Mission

Famous Fido works with overcrowded Chicago-area shelters to rescue adoptable dogs and cats that are at high risk of euthanasia, and to find them loving homes.
