Camille

Camille is a sweet, gentle young cat who has already done a wonderful job raising four kitten - all of whom found their forever homes. Now it's finally Camille's turn to be someone's loved companion. <br/><br/>When Camille first arrived, her foster mom noticed that she startled very easily, squinted often, and preferred to quietly observe her surroundings rather than explore. A veterinary exam revealed she was born with a rare genetic eye condition called bilateral upper eyelid agenesis, meaning her upper eyelids never fully formed. Without that natural protection, her eyes were constantly irritated and her vision was at risk. Camille bravely underwent two corrective surgeries to keep her comfortable and protect her sight, and today she is fully healed.<br/><br/>Now Camille enjoys watching the world from her favorite sunny window perch. She loves batting around toy mice, soaking up gentle pets, and following her foster dad around - chatting sweetly while asking for belly rubs. While she isn't a big fan of being picked up, she does enjoy curling up in a warm lap when she's ready to cuddle.<br/><br/>Camille will need periodic follow-up visits with an ophthalmologist to ensure her eyes remain healthy.
