Calypso's Story

Calypso is a sweet little boy who loves humans. We just discovered that Calypso is blind... But since we have had him since he was so small and we keep the babies in a kennel until the first round of shots have kicked in he has fooled us. He was not good around other kittens but we really thought he was just not nice but it has all made sense now. He was scared and he was trying to tell us something. And watching him, and working with him with the other kittens we realized he was blind. He was walking into things, being cautious around new things, and when we were playing he was not seeing the toys and not reacting to things right in front of him. Shame on us!! This little man is amazing.....he has done so amazingly well, and has things figured out, he actually so smart and figured out the route to the litter box, to the cat tower, to his food and water bowl, and to a lap where he can snuggle. And he loves to snuggle. He will purr so loud he will put you to sleep...LOL.....He is no longer growling at the other kittens and will attempt to play with them.....but still sits back and lets them play around him, He smells food he is first in line. This boy may be blind but he has not let it stop him and honestly he is such a special little one.

Our Cats/Kittens are all spay/neutered prior to adoption. They are up to date on shots for their age, dewormed Fiv/FeLV tested and microchipped. All animals are raised in foster homes. We are not a shelter and we do not have a facility.
