Cally's Story

(EDIT: ADOPTED! But we have others like her.) Cally the gorgeous calico-cat is so very ready for her furever-home.

According to her foster, Cally - a young adult kitty - is quite simply a purr-fect cat. She is sweet, affectionate and elegant. She loves gazing out of windows, sunlight, and soft chairs, string toys and her treats.

But don’t be fooled by her calm purr-sonality. Cally loves to play! On occasion, she will bring you her wand toy as if to say “play time!”.

Cally is also very affectionate. She loves to get close, leaning on your lap or crawling on your chest, for morning, midday, and evening snuggles.

Cally would do great in a home where there're humans to love her, or WFH. And she will love you endlessly for it!
Her prior foster called her "the sweetest cat he's ever met. Her soft long hair calico fur, bushy tail and beautiful green eyes (which change color depending on the light) are sure to steal your heart. Vetted, vaccinated, litter-trained, negative on both felv/fiv, microchipped. No special needs.

For faster processing please fill out an adoption application on our site parkslopecats dot org
Foster-to-adopt option is available as well.

A safe, secure, loving home is a must-have. She MUST be an indoor cat - meaning no, no walks on leashes, going out on balconies or into backyards. And a healthy diet of at least 70-80% wet food is a must.

Let's give sweet beautiful Cally a great home!

Cally's rescue story can be seen on our feed... what an ordeal she and the other kitty faced for over 3 weeks till they were rescued by @parkslopecats They're lucky to be alive as they could have easily starved to death after their human died in the hospital & the building wasn't notified.

This sweet girl truly deserves a stable, loving home that will give her safety, food, snuggles and regular vet check ups forever!

Park Slope Cats's Adoption Policy
Process: 1. Apply to adopt: All potential adopters must complete the Adoption Application to ensure that the best match is found for their home. Email the completed Adoption Application to parkslopecats at gmail dot com . There is no fee to apply. 2. Home Safety Check: After the initial application is reviewed, a home safety check is done either by Zoom, facetime, in-person, or by phone where the potential adopter is asked to email/text photos/videos of their windows, screens, balcony or backyard (if any). We look for multiple things during these checks, including secure window screens and potentially toxic plants. You can see the list of toxic plants in our Cat Safety Essentials document. 3. Meet the Kitty: Once the application is approved, we invite the potential adopter to meet the kitty virtually or in-person, based on what is most convenient. The majority of our rescue cats and kittens are in foster homes. 4. Make it official: Following the meet/e-meet if you decide to move forward, we will complete your reference check. After this you must fill out the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. The fee can be paid online or in-person. 5. Home transfer: After you’ve made it official, you will be able to take your new cat(s) home at your earliest convenience. We request that the cats be transported by car only, as public transportation is extremely stressful for them. We are here to support you as your new family member acclimates and meets other animals in your home. During the initial days and week we’ll check in with an occasional text or email to see how the cat is doing. Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule for new pets to adjust to a new home.
