Cake Pop has FIV, which means she has a weaker immune system. Cats with FIV can live long, happy lives, but she will need to be the only cat or live with other FIV-positive cats. Come meet her at the Animal Protective League, located at 1001 Taintor Road in Springfield. We are open every day from noon to 5 p.m.

Animal Protective League's Adoption Policy

We have plenty of dogs and cats just waiting to meet you! Our adoption center is open from Noon to 5pm every day. If you see an animal on Petfinder please feel free to call our shelter at 217-544-PETS (7387) to inquire if the animal is at the shelter or in one of our foster homes. There is a simple application process that you will need to complete prior to approval for adoption. Although we occasionally run adoption specials, our regular adoption fees for cats are $50 or two for $65. Our pricing on dogs is variable. Every animal has been spayed or neutered, microchipped, tested for heartworms or FeLV/FIV, and is current on all vaccines. That’s over a $350 value!
