Cajun's Story

Meet Cajun. Cajun has been through so much in his short life and is now ready to be loved in a furever home of his very own. Cajun came to the shelter in late January skinny and missing parts of both ears due to frostbite. He had severe gastric issues that took months to get to the bottom of. Poor Cajun ended up having an intestinal biopsy done and we found out Cajun has a condition called IBD which translates to Irritable Bowel Disease. He will need to be on a sensitive stomach food for the rest of his life and is currently on a daily steroid and weekly B12 injections. Despite everything Cajun is the sweetest most loving cat. All he wants is to have plenty of toys and be held and snuggled.

Cajun needs an owner that will be able to keep him on his sensitive stomach food and medications as needed. He does okay with some cats here at the shelter and would do best with a calm dog in the home. Due to his sweet demeanor he would do well with kids.
