Byron's Story

Meet Byron.

Do you have a big heart? Byron really needs you to rescue him. He was found outside wandering around, so someone probably dumped him given that he is friendly and not feral. Poor baby needs someone with a big heart to give him the loving home he desperately wants and deserves. He absolutely loves it when you give him pets and love on him. He welcomes the attention but also is good at being independent.

He is FIV positive but do not let this deter you from rescuing him - he can live a full and healthy life. It is not a death sentence at all. It does mean that he needs someone who will take excellent care of him and take him to the vet if he gets sick. FIV can only be spread to another cat by a very deep bite and this only typically happens when un-neutered males are outside as strays and fighting for over females. Cat FIV can not be spread to humans or any other animals. So FIV in cats is really not a big deal, only to people who do not understand what it really is.

He is currently in foster with other cats and has no issues sharing space. So, he can absolutely go to a home with another cat. You will have to do a slow introduction as with any other cat. Will you give this boy a loving home? You will be rewarded with all of his love given to you in return.

Byron is neutered, has age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, flea treated, combo tested for FIV & FeLV, and dewormed.

At the time of adoption you will receive all medical paperwork.
