Button's Story

These 6 indoor cats (Charlie, Wookie, Sweetie Pie, Buttons, Blue and Baby Cake) are now being kept in a shed in Westcliffe since their owner died and temps are dropping. All are altered, and we have updated their vaccines along with testing for FIV/FeLV. The owner of these cats has died, and the house is being sold so they can’t remain there. A friend was told there were 2 or 3 outside cats at the home and she went to get them and keep them as barn cats. When she got there, she found these 6 cats that had never been outside. She had no place to put them in her home, so they are in her shed in Westcliffe . It appears the owner took good care of the cats. All wear collars with names.

These 6 will slowly transition to the Cat Adoption Center, found at Chow Down in Evergreen, as space becomes available. Complete a cat application at www.eapl.com - once approved, you can visit and choose the cat best suited to you and your home.
