Butterscotch ( aka Scotty)'s Story
Scotty ( Butterscotch) was found about 6 weeks ago living outdoors near a well cared for colony of cats. His owner had moved and left him behind . . He was known to be an indoor-outdoor cat at some time in his life. He is about three years old, and is friendly, but definitely not for small children, and not a lap cat. He is very independent but also approachable . . I guess you could say, he is his own man. He is very happy and playful while eating his favorite canned food, but also eats dry food and has no issues with his litter pan

He would need an experienced cat owner who would give him space, realize he is an independent type of fellow, yet undemanding . . . . and forgive him the occasional " swat" which is just an effort to keep your attention . . and also to let you know when " that's enough". He would prefer to be the only cat.

Scotty is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He tested negative for both Feline Leukemia Virus and FIV. He has remained very healthy while in foster care . Scotty is a beautiful long-hair cat, about 10-12 pounds with a definite Maine Coon appearance . Because of his severe matting at the point he entered foster care, he was shaved in certain areas. His beautiful fur has since grown back.
If interested, please contact www.palletcatfoundation.org . It will direct you to an application process.
