Birthdate: July 9, 2024 A young & very scared mama cat came to our rescue last spring with 4 tiny kittens. With the help of her foster mom, BUTTERKUP raised her babies and all have now been adopted. A protective and caring mama, BUTTERKUP was Initially very frightened and cautious around humans. She has now become more relaxed with her foster family and interacts with them most comfortably through play. She is a quiet & thoughtful girl who spends time watching what's going on inside as well as looking out the windows of her foster home. BUTTERKUP loves spending time with other cats and would benefit from the company of a friendly social kitty in her forever home She also has been exposed to and is comfortable around well-trained dogs. A patient, sensitive and understanding adopter is needed to help BUTTERKUP continue to feel more comfortable accepting and enjoying human affection. Interested in Adopting? Please submit our online application and you will hear back from a volunteer soon! All cats listed for adoption have been: Spayed /Neutered, Tested for FIV / FeLV, Microchipped, Fully vaccinated - FVRCP & Rabies, Fully Dewormed, Received Flea Treatment /Prevention, Loved & Socialized! Our shelter is located in Delhi Ontario and we have many cats/ kittens, both at the shelter as well as in nearby foster homes in Norfolk County including Simcoe, Port Dover, Port Rowan, Port Ryerse, Tillsonburg, Etc. We also have a few foster homes located in Brantford and Woodstock. After we receive your completed online Adoption Application you will be contacted within 5 business days. (Most likely sooner!) Those approved to adopt will be able to arrange to meet the kitty they are interested in. We often receive multiple applications for each kitty and always try to find the best match for both the kitty and the adopter. A successful meet & greet with the kitty is followed by a scheduled meeting to complete the necessary documents with an Adoptions Volunteer. Advice about helping the kitty adjust in a new environment as well as information about feeding schedules, along with food samples, microchip transfer and all vet paperwork is given/explained. Adoption fees are due at the Adoption Meeting by cash or etransfer to PCON. Our Adoptions contract is signed by both the PCON representative and the adopter. After the meeting the kitty goes home and we post the happy adoption!
