Buttercup (Powerpuff crew)'s Story

Meet Buttercup the queen of belly flops and the sweetest little soul you'll ever meet.

If Buttercup wants your attention, she'll make it very obvious. Her signature move? Flopping dramatically onto the floor, rolling onto her back, and showing you her belly until you stop everything to admire her. It's impossible to resist.

Buttercup is one of those rare cats who is simply happy to be loved. Her favorite place in the world is right next to her people—or even better, curled up in your lap. She's incredibly affectionate, gentle, and polite, with the sweetest little meow she'll use to remind you it's time for dinner... or, more importantly, time for attention.

Buttercup has been through more than most cats ever should. She bravely recovered from mastitis, pneumothorax, oxygen chamber therapy, countless nebulizer treatments, fluids, onesies, ice packs, medications—you name it. Through every single treatment, she remained the perfect patient. She seemed genuinely grateful to be cared for, accepting everything with quiet trust and the sweetest attitude.

Now that she's healthy and pain-free, her true personality has finally blossomed... and she's basically a kitten in an adult cat's body.

She gets the funniest bunny-hop zoomies around the house, happily entertains herself with every toy she can find, and rubs against every corner when she's feeling especially happy. Watching Buttercup discover how much fun life can be is one of the greatest rewards of seeing her recover.

Buttercup is also incredibly gentle and submissive with other cats. She genuinely wants to be friends with everyone—as long as they're kind to her. She would love a home with another respectful, playful kitty and would be thrilled to be adopted with one of her Powerpuff family members. She also adores people and quickly wins over everyone she meets—including every veterinary team that's cared for her. She's vocal when she wants attention or dinner, and on car rides she'd much rather curl up safely on your lap than sit in a carrier if given the choice. All she really wants is to be close to her person.

Buttercup has the kind of heart that's impossible to teach. She greets the world with kindness, trusts despite everything she's been through, and asks for so little in return—just a cozy lap, a few toys, plenty of love, and someone to dramatically flop over for every single day.

Check out more photos and videos of Buttercup here

https://photos.app.goo.gl/KZHER2yad7sSa8cE8

Buttercup would love a home with another friendly, respectful cat and would be thrilled to be adopted with one of her Powerpuff family members. We strongly believe kittens and young cats thrive with a feline companion, and adopting a pair helps them stay happy, confident, and entertained for years to come. If you don't already have a young, playful resident cat, we'd love to help you find the perfect match for Buttercup.

Estimated 1 year old

Fully vetted, flea-treated, dewormed, microchipped, and spayed
FIV/FeLV/heartworms negative

If you are interested in meeting Buttercup, please submit an adoption application here
tinyurl.com/LLARadopt
