Buttercup's Story

Meet Buttercup! This stunningly gorgeous Tortoiseshell girl is looking for a home where she can settle in and have the love of a patient and caring adopter. Buttercup came to TMHPR from a local shelter where the veterinarian thought she might have suffered an injury prior to ending up there that caused some "wobbly cat" stuff which affects her balance and back leg stability. She was deemed perfectly healthy in spite of this but ended up on the shelter's euthanasia list with a few day deadline. TMHPR volunteers rushed to get her rescued and her life was saved. She has been living in a loving foster home since her rescue from the shelter and is doing so well. This busy girl gets around just fine even with her balance and weak back legs issue. She is super affectionate and loves to hang out on a lap after being scooped up to do so. Buttercup loves to play, and feather toys, especially ones with bells are a particular favorite...but cuddling is her superpower! She uses her litter box just fine, just needs a box with low entry. She eats fine, just might knock over her dry kibble now and then. There are just a few simple accommodations that an adopter can make so that this gorgeous girl's life is the best it can be. She would do best in a one story home since coming down a set of stairs might be tricky for her and no dogs would be best. We think she may do well with a cat buddy but also may be a candidate for only cat status. We know there is an adopter out there who would give her the best future...patient and willing to provide the accommodations that will suit her balance and weak back leg condition. Her estimated birth date is December 4, 2023. Cats adopted from TMHPR are indoor only.
