BUTTERCUP's Story

BUTTERCUP a pretty little buff colored stray who was rescued and brought to the shelter. With no information about her, we do not know if BUTTERCUP is ok with dogs or kids. She seems to be doing ok with the other shelter cats but does not interact with them, if she can avoid them. She can be a bit of a snip if one of them encroaches on her getting attention. To visitors, she is extremely friendly, very vocal and wants lots of attention, but does not like being picked up.

BUTTERCUP is young enough that, with the proper, slow introduction, she would probably do ok with other non-aggressive pets. She is a diva though and may be best as the only pet. As she is young, she would probably enjoy playing with kids old enough to understand that some kitties do not wish to be picked up or squeezed. They also need to know about soft touch and that if they play rough with a cat, scratches and bites will happen.

If you don't pay attention, BUTTERCUP will reach out and try to entice you to pet her. She is not shy about what she wants, which is really just someone to love her as the diva she strives to be and to give her a safe, loving forever home.

DOB-09/22 Entered Shelter-09/24

If you are interested in adopting BUTTERCUP, please visit the Shelter during Adoption Hours, Mondays and Wednesdays, 4:00pm to 7:00pm, Saturdays, 10:00am to 1:00pm, or call 231-773-3030 to make an appointment.
