Butterbomb's Story

Butter is a lovely medium hair patch tabby. She would not classify herself as cuddly, affectionate, or needy. She is independent, and totally fine on her own. Butter enjoys playing with toy mice and crinkle balls, and her absolute favorite is the Cat Dancer wire toy with the rolls of cardboard on the end. She will give you a very excited meow when it is time to play with that. Butter had three surprise kittens, and she raised those boys exceptionally well, and now that they found their forever homes, she is looking for hers.

Butter needs a patient and understanding person. She really loves men! Butter needs time to have you earn her trust, and when she is ready, she will pet you by rubbing on your hand or legs. She doesn't prefer that you try to pet her unless you have reached next level status with her. But she will gladly play with the cat dancer with you, and eat churus or squeezie Temptations from your hand!

Adoption Information

Prior to adoption, every cat in our care is spayed or neutered, microchipped, given age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for parasites, and combo-tested for FIV/FeLV. We make sure each cat is healthy, safe, and ready to thrive in their forever home.

Adoption Fees

Kittens (under 6 months): $175 or 2 for $300

Adults (over 6 months): $150

Seniors (10+) / Special Needs: $100

Please Note:

We cannot hold cats for any reason. TO ADOPT, ONE MUST Have current photo identification with your current address Be willing and able to spend the time & money needed to care for your cat Carefully read the terms of our Adoption Contract and agree to its terms. Agree that if they cannot keep the cat they have adopted from St. Sophia’s, they must return the cat to us Agree to allow an authorized representative of St. Sophia’s to make an adoption follow-up THE PROCESS Adopting should never be an impulse decision — pets are for life. We respectfully ask that you come fully prepared to take on the care of a cat prior to filling out an application. On average, owning a cat costs $40 a month (food/litter/health), which is $480 annually. Cats (especially kittens) take lots of time, dedication, and love to grow and develop into loving and healthy household pets. Because we at St. Sophia’s pride ourselves in knowing our cats, we want what’s best for them, and to ensure they are going to good homes we conduct reference checks (personal and veterinary) in addition to the basic application. Please expect the adoption process to take at least 24 hours, and when your adoption is finalized, you’ll need to bring a carrier to take your new pet home in.
