Buster's Story

Meet Buster, a sweet young tuxedo tomcat who has already been through so much in his short life. Rescued from the streets of Fort Lauderdale, poor Buster was suffering from a severe flea allergy and self-inflicted injuries so bad we couldn't even share his "before" photos online. With proper care, love, and time in foster, this handsome boy has healed beautifully and revealed his true personality: calm, gentle, and endlessly grateful.

Buster has tested positive for FIV, but that doesn't stop him from being the mellowest, friendliest companion you could ask for. He wouldn't hurt a fly and gets along with other easygoing cats. Buster would do well with ideally other FIV+ cats or dogs. Due to his large size and his willingness to walk on leash/harness, we think he would be a cool dog companion!!

Our adoption fee includes: sterilization surgery, microchipping, deworming, age-appropriate FELV/FIV testing, up-to-date vaccines, fecal testing, and monthly flea prevention. All pets are examined by a vet and out of state pets receive an additional certificate of veterinary inspection.

Apply to adopt here: happy-whiskers.org/adopt-a-pet
