This is not a choice anyone wanted to make — it’s simply a matter of health and circumstance.

Buster is not a “pick-me-up-and-carry-me” kind of cat, but he shows his affection in quiet, meaningful ways. He loves being brushed. He’ll rub against your legs to say hello. He sleeps at the foot of the bed. He enjoys little balls and toys and still has playful moments that will make you smile.

He takes time to warm up to new people. At first, he may hide until he feels safe — but once he knows you, he settles in. He will let you know (in true cat fashion) when he’s had enough attention, and he prefers not to be picked up or have his belly rubbed. Because of this, he would do best in a quiet home without young children.

Buster has spent much of his life as an indoor/outdoor cat during the day and inside at night, but for the past year he has been indoors only and seems content that way.

He isn’t flashy. He isn’t demanding. He’s a steady companion who simply needs someone patient and kind to give him a soft place to land for his senior years.

This is a courtesy post. Updated health records will be provided.

If you have room in your heart and home for a cat who just needs stability and understanding, Buster is waiting.
