Buntzen (Bonded with Babine)'s Story
Buntzen is 2 years old and arrived as a stray from Williams Lake with her daughter, Babine, after a kind Good Samaritan brought them in from their property. Buntzen is an incredibly sweet, gentle girl, but she’s quite shy and cautious as she learns to trust people. She’s taking tiny paw steps forward, offering slow blinks and becoming more comfortable sharing the same room with you, as long as she has enough distance to feel safe. She’s still building her confidence and will retreat if you get too close, but these little steps are an encouraging start! Buntzen finds comfort in having Babine by her side. The two share a special mother-daughter bond and “must” be adopted together.

Buntzen and Babine will need a quiet, calm, adult-only home with experienced adopters—ideally people who have welcomed shy cats into their home before. They’ll need a family that understands trust takes time and is happy to let them settle in at their own pace, allowing them to initiate interaction and touch when they feel ready. Buntzen is friendly with other cats. She uses her litter box well, is spayed, and is healthy.

Some cats are lap cats on day one, while others need a little more time and gentle encouragement to feel safe enough to let their guard down. With the right support, shy kitties like Buntzen and Babine can blossom into the most loving and loyal companions-they just need someone to give them that chance.

To learn more about Buntzen and Babine, please reach out or fill out an application.
