Bunny's Story

Bunny came to us after she was witnessed pregnant outside as a community cat from a local colony, and just as we suspected, she had her kittens less than 3 days after we trapped her - just in time! Her kittens were born in March (Cadbury, Jelly Bean, and Peeps - see them here! https://www.petfinder.com/cat/jelly-bean-cadbury-and-peeps-72634677/ma/douglas/ladybug-cat-rescue-inc-ma566/). She was only a kitten herself, estimated to be ~6 months old when we caught her.

Unlike some of the more unsocial pregnant cats we have worked with, Bunny was seemingly grateful from the start that she was no longer outside. She nearly immediately accepted attention from people and was a wonderful mom to her kittens. Now she is ready for her next adventure, with hopes of settling into a nice calm home where she can find a good lap to snuggle up with. She is not a cat who will greet every visitor, but she is a cat who will love the people in her family with every bit of her heart. Bunny is also a polydactyl cat, so she has extra toes.

Bunny gets along well with other cats and would likely do very well in a home with other cats, potentially even if adopted with one of her kittens (this is not required for her, however). Calm, cat-savvy older kids or dogs would also be fine, but rambunctious kids or dogs may be too much for her quiet demeanor.

Bunny is about ~11-12 months old now and is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and negative for FIV and FeLV. She is ready for adoption to the right home at any time! Interested in maybe adopting Bunny? Here’s our adoption application to fill out to meet her! https://form.jotform.com/212615358960055
