Buford's Story

Meet Buford 🖤

Buford is an absolutely adorable 4–5 month old black kitten with the cutest round face, big soulful eyes, and plush, thick fur that just begs to be petted. He’s a total sweetheart who loves attention and has a blast playing with his siblings.

Buford’s story didn’t start out easy. He was abandoned at a home that didn’t want him, along with other kittens and a mama cat. With nowhere else to go, the shelter would have been his only option—and for a shy kitten like Buford, that could have been a tough outcome. Thankfully, the shelter reached out to our group, and we were able to step in and help these abandoned cats get the second chance they deserve.

Buford is closely related to Candice—his mom or possibly his aunt—who is super outgoing, and it’s clear Buford is following right in her pawprints. He’s already well on his way to becoming an attention hog, soaking up love and human affection whenever it’s offered.

Buford definitely needs a buddy and happily bounces between hanging out with everyone in the house. He is super playful, cuddly, and curious about everything, always ready to explore his world. One of his favorite things? Belly rubs—he’s always excited to flop over and soak up that extra love.

If you’re looking for a friendly, beautiful black kitten who loves to play, cuddle, and be right in the middle of the action, Buford is your guy. 🐾✨All cats and kittens adopted through Friends of Felines are spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on FVRCP vaccinations and rabies shots (if old enough).

See our adoption process below:

1) Fill out the adoption application at https://friendsofelines.org/adopt
2) Meet with the cat in their foster home
3) If you and the cat are a match then we will set a take home date 1-7 days after the meeting depending on schedules.
