Buffy's Story

Hi, I’m Buffy, and I’m really, really stinking adorable 💕
I had a bit of a rough start to life, but I’m blossoming more every day and letting my purr-fect little personality shine.

I love toys—if it moves, I will chase it! Wand toys are my absolute favourite, and they’ve helped me build confidence and trust with people, too. I’m a little shy at first (a girl’s gotta play hard to get 😉), but if you give me time and move at my pace, I warm up quickly. I have a big, loud purr hiding in my tiny body, and once I’m comfortable, you’ll hear it often.

I adore gentle butt rubs, but I’m still learning that hands can be wonderful too. As long as you go slow and get on my level, I’m happy to accept pets—and the more confident I get, the cuter I become (if that’s even possible!).

In my foster home, I’ve started exploring the entire house and have made friends with all the adult cats. There’s a kitten slightly older than me who is my best friend—she’s been showing me all the ropes and helping me grow into a confident little lady. Because of this, Buffy requires another cat in the home. A confident feline friend truly helps her confidence bloom and brings out her sweetest side. Cuddling up with a cat buddy is one of my favourite things to do 🐱💞

I use the litter box 99.9% of the time—occasionally kitten brain kicks in and I forget, but I’m doing amazing for my age and working hard to perfect it. Dang kitten brain!

Dogs were a little scary for me at first due to a past experience, but the medium-sized dog in my foster home is slowly changing my mind. I used to hiss, but now I’m curious and starting to check her out. I still prefer space and slow introductions, but with time, I think we could become friends.

It may take me a little while to warm up to new people, but I promise—it’s SO worth it once you earn my trust and hear my purrs. I’m brave, gentle, and learning every day. I can’t wait to find my forever home ❤️

“The hardest thing in this world is to live in it. Be brave. Live.” – Buffy
