I'm Buddy Holly, a calm and sweet-natured boy with a quiet disposition who was born on September 3, 2023. Since I'm new to the rescue, volunteers are still getting to know me, but so far, they've discovered I have a gentle nature. I like to be softly petted--even if I may not seek the attention myself--and will quietly enjoy myself in your company.<br/><br/>Additionally, I'm a laid-back companion and prefer lounging around. If you're someone who loves cozy naps, quiet evenings, and a cat who is happy just by being near you, we might be a perfect match!<br/><br/>Recently, I became a resident of Forever Love Rescue's FIV+ Adoption Room. While this new change has made me a little nervous, I'm slowly adjusting. For now, I've been hiding and like to keep to myself, but the volunteers know my personality will blossom again once I realize this space is just as safe as my previous one.<br/><br/>I get along well with other cats, but I prefer to peacefully coexist with them instead of being playmates. While I do not have experience with children or dogs, I would likely to do best in a calm household with respectful companions who understand my easygoing ways.<br/><br/>I am FIV+, but that doesn't stop me from living a happy, full life and sharing it with a special someone. All of the cats listed are located in or near Gettysburg unless otherwise noted.<br/><br/>Please note that while we work hard to keep our available cats up to date we also have many that are not posted yet.<br/><br/>Adoption fees are $60 for adult cats and kittens over 6 months old, $100 for kittens (under 6 months) and $30 for senior cats (7 years+) to help cover vet bills for spay/neuter, basic vaccinations, testing, microchips and preventatives.<br/><br/>No cat will be officially adopted without being spayed/neutered and vaccinated (unless there are health risks in doing so). We highly recommend adopting kittens in pairs and we do discount for double adoptions here to encourage it.<br/><br/>We are always in need of donations to help us continue to save hundreds of cats and kittens every year.
