Buddy's Story

FOR ADOPTION: Want Some Snuggle Buddy in your Life? ...
This is "Buddy" and he is ready to snuggle! He is THE BEST snuggler! Promise!
For more than 2 years, Buddy struggled to survive outdoors in an apartment complex after his family moved away and left him behind. A kind neighbor fed him on her deck, but last month he showed up scratched, bitten, and hurting after being attacked.
She reached out to Wescott Acres Pet Rescue, and Buddy’s life finally turned around.
With veterinary care, Buddy’s wounds healed beautifully. His upper respiratory infection is gone. He’s had a dental cleaning, all vaccinations, and has been neutered.
He is now healthy, safe, and thriving!
Buddy has been fostered by Brittany, a wonderful nurse, and she says he is “such a guy!" with his strong, muscular body, thick soft hair, loves belly rubs, a full bowl of wet food, and even wags his tail when he eats! His veterinarian calls him a “big cuddle bug.”
Why Everyone Falls in Love With Buddy:
• Barely sheds
• Gorgeous large green eyes and about 3 years old
• Talks to you! .... REALLY!!
• LOVES attention - TOTALLY the CUDDLY GUY!
• So affectionate and grateful to be indoors
• A true companion who wants to be by your side
Buddy Needs a Special Home - Buddy is FIV positive, which means he should be an only cat or live with another FIV positive cat.
FIV does not affect dogs or people.
He currently shows no symptoms, and with good care, FIV cats can live long, normal lives. As seniors, they may be more prone to infections, so regular vet visits and a loving home make all the difference.
Buddy is truly an exceptional guy who has survived so much and still loves with his whole heart! He deserves safety, comfort, and someone who will never abandon him again.
** He is a "Cat - Dog" who follows you around and wants to be a companion and best friend. What great company he is!
