Buddy's Story

Buddy Buddy Buddy. What to say about this handsome devil?? Buddy spent a LONG time in a cage inside the free roam room. He was hard to deal with. Would take swipes at volunteers trying to clean his cage. Would fight with other cats if given the chance. Just an all around menace!

Buddy was given the chance to prove himself out of his kennel and wouldn’t you know, he’s done extremely well! He has now been out of a cage and free roaming in a room with almost fifty cats for about three months now. He has had very few altercations with cats or humans. He tolerates being picked up by his favorite volunteer and absolutely loves sitting on anyone’s lap. He knows and responds to his name. He likes to play with toys on occasion. His remaining vice is that he occasionally takes a swipe of someone makes him mad.

Buddy may do ok with the right cat housemate after a SLOW patient introduction. It would need to be a submissive cat probably as Buddy is definitely an alpha. He would likely do fine as an only cat but has been known to play with a few of the younger cats at times. Buddy would not be good with young children. He’s just too unpredictable. I am finding him fiercely loyal to his humans and would say he is now 90% sweet attention loving lap boy, 10% naughty spicy guy who may scratch you with his razor sharp talons if given a reason. With all that said, I know his perfect home is out there!

Buddy is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV and heartworm disease.
*Questions about Buddy?
