Buddy's Story

Buddy is an incredibly warm and loving cat that would thrive in a solo-cat home, or as the first cat in a home. He loves to be in the same area as his human, and while not always a lapcat, when he does decide to join you on the couch he is hard to remove as his purr-motor kicks in and he cements himself to you in comfort.

He is great with humans and non-prefers to be the only cat in the house, so bringing Buddy into a home with an already established hierarchy could prove to need a high level of personal touch and focus.

Buddy's strengths:
Very calm and relaxed, not spooked by loud noises or sudden changes
Loves to be pet, and will roll over for a good belly rub and chin scratch at almost any time of the day
Non-aggressive with other pets and children. He does get bossy with other cats.
Adapts well to new environments and finds his comfort areas very quickly
A big bundle of love, he attaches to people quickly and will let you know he's thinking of you with leg rubs and staying in your vicinity.
He is comfortable being in the eyeshot of you so he can confirm you are there. When he does jump up on your lap or lay down with you in bed, he is there to stay and his kitty motor turns on with an audible purr you can feel.
Loves kitty shelves and cat towers.
With training and familiarization, Buddy would make a fantastic Leash cat for an owner with the patience to do so.
VERY healthy FIV positive cat but he shows no symptoms of complications from it. He is a prime example that cats can live a happy and full life with a positive diagnosis.
He LOVES his food. He is not food aggressive, but he will try to get you to feed him in any way he can. He will need either strict guidance to scheduled feeding or free feeding. He enjoys wet food.
He was once an outdoor cat, and he loves to remind you about this. He is very quick to make a dash for the great outdoors. Be careful for the first few weeks of training, as he can slip past you if you look away for even a second.
Buddy has been searching for his forever home for 2.5 years and was finally rescued and taken in by an AO foster. He deserves a loving home. ❤️
