Bud's Story

Meet Bud nicknamed Buddy the Elf!
Bud is a handsome black and brown male tabby with a big heart and an even bigger glow-up story. This sweet young guy is under a year old and came to us in mid-December thanks to a dedicated local grassroots organization that wanted to help him find safety away from the dangers of street life.

Bud was found living in a trailer park, fending for himself. When rescuers first approached him, he put on his tough-guy act. He was a bit standoffish and very vocal, clearly unsure if he could trust humans. But once he realized their intentions were kind, Bud let his guard down to reveal the gentle, affectionate soul he'd been hiding all along. He was safely secured and brought to us, where he quickly began winning hearts.

Now, Bud is ready for what he's always deserved: a warm home, a cozy bed and sunny window views that are preferably with a bird feeder or two for premium entertainment. He would absolutely thrive with a doting family who's happy to spoil him with all the comforts of home and plenty of love.

Just like his nickname Buddy the Elf, Bud believes in the magic of belonging and he's ready to find his forever family. Could that be you?

The shelter is open Tuesdays through Fridays 3:30-6:30pm AND Saturdays & Sundays 1pm-4pm. No appointments are needed during those times. If you are not available during those times, special arrangements for a meet and greet may be able to be arranged by emailing arfcats@bereaanimalrescue.com. Thank you for considering the adoption of a shelter animal in need!
