Bubeleh's Story

Bubeleh is a 6-year-old tuxedo gentleman with the most magnificent tomcat cheeks you’ve ever seen. He came to us from a local community cat colony after developing a severe upper respiratory infection. With proper medical care, good food, and a warm place to rest, he has made a full recovery and is now healthy, sturdy, and absolutely thriving.

He is vaccinated, neutered, FeLV-negative, and FIV-positive (which truly is no big deal). FIV+ cats live long, normal lives and can safely live with other friendly cats, just like Bubeleh does now. He’s fully litter box trained and very much enjoying his indoor era.

Bubeleh is mellow, affectionate, and deeply devoted to comfort. He loves a lap (even if he spills off the sides a bit… more to cuddle), snuggling in bed, lounging in his favorite cozy corners, and most of all… snacks. He is a very enthusiastic foodie with a strong appreciation for routine and mealtime consistency.

In his foster home, he lives peacefully with multiple cats. He’s respectful and calm. Not pushy, not dramatic. He’s also fine with older, easygoing dogs. Younger, high-energy pups are a bit much for his gentle soul, so a quieter home would suit him best.

He adores cheek scratches, chin rubs, and head pets. Please, take advantage of those glorious squishable cheeks. They are prime real estate.

And yes, he will show you his belly. No, you may not touch it. It is decorative only.

Bubeleh is sweet, steady, and ready to settle into a loving home where he can relax, feel safe, and fully embrace the good life.

If you’re looking for a substantial snuggle companion with distinguished tuxedo charm and legendary cheeks, Bubeleh is your guy.

Despurate House Cats's Adoption Policy
The application process for adopting from our cat rescue includes several important steps: Application Form on Website: You must fill out an application form available on the rescue's website. This form will ask for your personal details, your home environment, and other relevant information about your lifestyle and preferences to help match you with a suitable cat. Vet Reference: You are required to provide a reference from your veterinarian. This helps the rescue ensure you have a history of responsible pet ownership and good veterinary care for your previous or current pets. Landlord Reference (if leasing): If you rent your home, you will need to provide a reference from your landlord. This confirms that you have permission to have a cat in your rental property and ensures that the living conditions are suitable for adopting a pet. Home Visit: As part of the adoption process, a home visit will be conducted. A representative from the rescue will visit your home to ensure it’s a safe and appropriate environment for a cat. This visit will also include meeting your current pets to assess if they will get along with the new cat. The rescue wants to ensure that the new addition to your family will be compatible with your existing pets and that everyone will feel comfortable and safe. Once all these steps are completed and reviewed, the rescue will make a decision about your application.
