Bubby - Tyrus's Story
Bubby is a quiet and calm guy. He prefers to just hang out and relax, as life was brutal to him for a long time. We don't know how he came to live on the streets, but he made is way to a cat colony in Minerva at a nursing home. His caretaker was told by the property owner that she could no longer feed the cats or provide shelter. Concerned for his future, the caretaker asked for help. After Bubby was trapped, fixed and in foster care it was discovered that Bubby was not really feral. He had just been on the streets surviving for a really long time. He had a massive scar on his neck from a battle wound, entropion and really bad teeth. His amazing rescue sponsor had him fixed and had the entropion eye and dental surgeries done. While in foster care he was a great patient, very quiet and reserved but never once gave a bit of problem with taking meds after his surgeries. Bubby enjoys the company of other cats, and it is required that there be at least one other cat in his adopters home. He especially loves kittens and will be happy to be a calm grandpa to them. Given the situation he came from, he needs a quiet home and someone who has the patience to work with him as he adjusts. It may take him a while to bond with you, but once he does you will have a friend for life. Bubby doesn't mind pets, as long as he can lay around while you do it. If this lazy couch potato/20# house panther is your kind of man, submit an application or call in. Bubby is currently in foster care in Lisbon. Once your application is completed and approved, a meet and greet can be scheduled with his foster mom.

Once you submit an application online, it will be reviewed and our adoption coordinator will be in contact with you. Successful adoptions and placement of our animals is taken very seriously here at CCHS so, not every application will be approved. We must make certain that each animal is placed in a home that best suits the needs of the animal and the needs of the family and home where the animal is being placed. Our animals come up to date on vaccines, tested for FELV/FIV, wormed, flea treated, microchipped and spayed/neutered, however, we always recommend taking any new pet to your primary veterinarian for a well check to get them established for routine care. Please feel free to fill out your inquiry/application through the link provided in this ad or visit our website at columbianacountyhumanesociety.com and fill out the pre-adoption form there.
