Bubbles's Story
Meet Bubbles, a petite striped gray tabby who was transferred to us from our friends at Kent County Animal Shelter. Bubbles comes with a little head tilt, which sometimes occurs when there is difficulty with a kitten coming out of Mom's birth canal, but that tilt just makes her more endearing!

Bubbles likes a lap and loves to play. Who doesn't love bubbles? Bubbles bring joy and our Bubbles will certainly do that for some lucky adopter! Bubbles has the zoomies sometimes so if placed with other kitties, resident cat(s) would need to be able to tolerate her playful nature. Bubbles is very affectionate and can be vocal telling you she wants your attention and some affection. She is a certifiable lap cat!

Bubbles has feline stomatitis (or chronic gingivostomatitis) which is a painful inflammation of a cat's mouth, gums, and throat, often triggered by plaque but becoming an extreme immune reaction. Stomatitis is not contagious. In order to help with pain control, Bubbles has had all but four teeth extracted. She is also on a small dose of liquid medicine once a day. These actions have given Bubbles a new life, one without pain. It also hasn't decreased her desire for love, laps, play, and affection. She craves human interaction.

Bubbles will need an adopter who has love to give and time for play. Bubble's adopter will also be okay with giving her the needed medicine daily. We know this is an extra commitment for an adopter and would be willing to try a fost to adopt situation. Bubbles is a wonderful kitty and through no fault of her own contracted this stomatitis. We are happy we found a remedy to keep the stomatitis at bay and give Bubbles comfort. She truly is a special kitty and warms the hearts of all who meet her. Please consider Bubbles for adoption and or foster to adopt. Having Bubbles as your own will truly be a rewarding experience.

Bubbles would be great for a family with older respectful children, a couple or adopter. Bubbles cohabitates with other calm, chill kitties who are not interested in a buddy. Bubbles would likely very much appreciate being your only kitty. She won't disappoint!

Bubbles has been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Bubbles has an approximate birthdate of 11/07/2024. Her adoption fee is $95.

If you are interested in Bubbles or any of the cats at Second Chance Cats of West Michigan, go to sccatswm.org/adopt to fill out an application, or stop in during open hours on Fridays from 11-2 or Saturdays and Sundays from 11-4.

Please note - we can only adopt to those who live within a one hour drive of Grand Rapids.
