Bruno & Scootie's Story

We don’t talk about Bruno… except this Bruno — and his beloved best friend, Scootie!

Bruno and Scootie are a devoted duo who have shared life side by side since 2020 and truly wouldn’t have it any other way. These two gentle boys are affectionate, cozy companions who love nothing more than curling up together and enjoying quiet moments close to their favorite people.

At 6 years old, Bruno is the confident charmer of the pair, greeting the world with an easygoing, sunny spirit. His best friend Scootie, now 5, is a little more reserved, but he blossoms when he’s by Bruno’s side — finding comfort, reassurance, and courage from his trusted buddy.

Once a scrawny kitten, Scootie has grown into a healthy, handsome cat who adores his big brother and happily sticks close. Like many cats, Bruno has had a few bumps along the road, but he’s come through it all with grace and sweetness. A bit of character shows in his adorable face, and his loving personality shines brighter than ever.

Sweet Bruno is also FIV+. FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) is one of the most common infectious diseases in cats, but the good news is that FIV+ cats typically live normal, healthy lifespans. It is not transmissible to humans or easily spread to other cats, and FIV-positive and FIV-negative cats can safely live together — like Bruno and Scootie have been doing for years!

Their bond is strong, playful, and full of affection — the kind that makes you smile every time you see them together. After years of companionship, these two are more than ready to settle into a forever home where they can continue doing what they do best: loving each other and their people.

Bruno and Scootie are looking for a home together — could it be yours?

Interested in adopting Bruno and Scooter? Our policy is to adopt kittens in pairs. We find that kittens are much happier when they have a companion and they tend to expend their youthful energy on each other rather than on your couch! Kittens are adorable, but older cats can be wonderful pets as well and they tend to be overlooked, so please consider adopting an adult cat or two!

The Cat Connection is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3)organization of volunteers who rescue homeless cats.
