Brownie's Story
Brownie is approximately 10 years old and she is “usually” a black long haired cat but after a recent shaving for some seriously matted fur, you can’t tell how pretty she actually is with a full coat of hair. The only evidence is her big puff ball tail on her tiny almost 6 pound body. Her foster mom said that Brownie is very good at helping with the housework as her tail is acting like a dust mop.

Once her hair grows back in, it will be important for her new family to carefully brush her so that her coat will stay in good condition. Her previous owner was unable to do so due to health issues. Brushing is a good opportunity to bond with her. She will go to her new home after having a dental which is a great benefit to an adopter to have this taken care of along with senior bloodwork and other testing that all came back great.

Brownie is deaf and it's not uncommon to come into a room and find her snoozing away in a big pet bed oblivious to someone arriving. She is adjusting well in her foster home and we are just learning her personality more. She isn't a cuddly cat currently but she definitely is a curious cat and loves to walk around and sniff everything. Fortunately his vision is good and in many respects she acts a little like a kitten in spite of her age. She LOVES catnip toys and is getting more interested in playing with other toys. It appears that she when she is comfortable she will enjoy petting and will likely sleep with someone if given the chance. We don’t know how she will be with children or other animals.

Can you find room in your heart for this sweet petite gal?
