BROWN TABBY KITTEN (cc#7176)'s Story

This fun, active kitten came in at about 7-8 weeks old (10-24-25) frightened of people. He'd hiss and spit at anyone reaching for him. We figured mom was an outdoor cat (maybe a semi-feral), and she was teaching him how to survive outside in this great big, and sometimes very frightening, outside world. It took a little while, but he eventually realized people weren't so bad, and he loved the scratches behind the ears! Now, at about 11-12 weeks old, he spends time out with the volunteers being carried around, or in the office enjoying time on laps or on the desk playing with whatever he finds. Ready for adoption, he's anxiously waiting for new home. (This kitten has his 1st Distemper Vaccination)

If you have any questions, would like more information or if you are considering adoption, you can give us a call - WOAWL 973-736-8689. Or, speak with an animal control officer through the West Orange Health Department at 973-325-4121. Best yet, stop by and take a look. The Township's Animal Control Facility (commonly called The Animal Shelter) is located at 311 Watchung Avenue, West Orange; and is open Monday through Friday 4:30 - 5:30, except holidays. (Occasionally additional hours can be made by appointment.)

…….
