Sweet.<br/>Brown Betty is the whole package.<br/>Torbies are some of the most stunning cats around, with their gorgeous combination of tabby markings and splotches of orange, brown, and cream. And Brown Betty is the absolute epitome of a classic torbie—stylish, striking, and, as her name suggests, a true confection!<br/>This lovely girl, approximately 3 years old and born in the summer of 2023, arrived at Crash’s Landing on August 4, 2026. She was transferred from another shelter after being pulled from a Detroit-area facility.<br/>We don't typically extend our reach beyond our local community. There are simply so many stray and vulnerable cats right here in our own backyard who need us. But when Second Chance Cats needed a hand, we were happy to help, especially when they believed Betty to be FeLV-positive. Thankfully, they were wrong.<br/>Betty tested negative for FeLV, and overall, she was in remarkably good shape. She was only mildly anemic and needed treatment for tapeworms and a bilateral ear infection. Compared with what so many of our cats endure Betty's medical needs were relatively straightforward.<br/>But her greatest gift?<br/>Her personality.<br/>From the moment she arrived, Betty has been outgoing, enthusiastic, and absolutely delighted to be here. She loves exploring her surroundings, making friends, and—most importantly—giving and receiving affection.<br/>She is just an all-around purr-fect cat.<br/>Betty clearly loves being indoors. She has embraced the good life with both paws and seems determined to make friends with everyone she meets. Her sweet personality has completely won us over, and she has quickly become one of those cats who makes you smile simply by being herself.<br/>She doesn't need a complicated home. She just needs a loving one.<br/>Brown Betty would be a wonderful addition to just about any family. We think she would especially enjoy being spoiled by older kids who are ready for a beautiful, affectionate best friend.<br/>Brown Betty is ready for her forever home. She is proof that sometimes the sweetest surprises come wrapped in the most beautiful packages.
