Broomstick's Story

Broomstick is an adorable 8-week-old tortoiseshell kitten who was hit by a car this morning. Thankfully, a Good Samaritan found her and rushed her to Island Pet Urgent Care, where she is now receiving the lifesaving care she needs.
Broomstick suffered a femur fracture and a pneumothorax (collapsed lung) from the impact. Our first priority is getting her stabilized and helping her recover from the pneumothorax. Once she is strong enough, her broken leg will be splinted and she will begin the next stage of her recovery.
Despite everything she has been through, this little girl is incredibly sweet and has been purring through her treatments.
The Good Samaritan who brought Broomstick in has offered to foster her, giving this brave little kitten a safe place to heal and a chance at the happy future she deserves.
