Bridget's Story

Our rescues mean a lot to the vet staff and DunRoamin' volunteers. We do everything we can to find the perfect homes for these pets, who are being given a second chance at a happy life. The application process requires pre-adoption applications, references, and interviews with you and those listed on your application in order to ensure a successful placement. If you are interested in learning more about the pet listed, please complete an application at https://form.jotform.com/60793520585259 and a representative will be in touch!

**The email used for listings is not actively monitored and inquiries made through these ads will not receive a reply.

Bridget came to us on October 10, 2023 from the Nackawic area where she had been adopted several years earlier. Born about April 8, 2020, she had originally come to us on April 15, 2020 when about 17 kittens were found on the side of the road in an area that had no homes or buildings in the vicinity - they had likely been dropped off there very recently, as they were only babies and were all together. She was soon adopted, but returned to us as she had become very angry, aggravated and was described as aggressive.

Bridget was immediately assessed by her new vet friend who determined she had a very massive case of vaginitis and was unable to pee. Pain medication, antibiotics and lots of medical care are making her feel better already. She was very aggravated when she arrived and was happy to slap and growl (who doesn't when they're painful?), but thanks to the medication she is now on, she feels better and is already headbutting her caregivers in gratitude. A couple more weeks of medication and she should be good as new! Bridget is overweight and will require a diet to improve her health as well, but in the meantime, until she feels more like herself again, she will be spoiled with her favourites: Temptations!! Stay tuned - we'll keep you up to date! We hope Bridget will find that perfect home again soon!
