Bree's Story

This is Bree. She’s absolutely terrified here. You can see it in her eyes—there’s so much love inside of her, but she’s just too scared to let anyone in. For weeks, she spent her days hiding under her blanket, too frightened to come out. It took so much patience before she’d even let us see her beautiful face.

Bree isn’t a "problem cat"—she’s just a sweet soul who’s been hurt by the world, and now she needs a home where she can feel safe again. She’s spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, and microchipped, and she’s litter trained. But none of that matters as much as the fact that she’s still so frightened. She’s a gentle girl who needs someone patient, kind, and understanding—someone who will help her find the courage to love again.

Bree isn’t ready to trust just anyone. But with the right person, we know she’ll blossom into the loving companion she truly wants to be. She just needs a home full of quiet, unconditional love.

Could you be the one to help Bree feel safe and loved? She’s waiting for her second chance at happiness, and she’s got so much love to give—if only someone will let her.

Contact Info:
Shelter Manager, Whitney
270-499-4449

Shelter Assistant, Miranda
270-499-2556

Shelter info:
86 Sanitation Lane, Calhoun, Ky, 42327

Monday-Thursday: 9-2pm
Saturday: 8-12pm
Friday and Sunday: CLOSED

You are welcome to schedule an after hours appointment if you are interested in adopting but cannot make it during business hours.
