Bowser's Story

Bowser is about 2 years old and found himself outside looking for human friends and something to eat.

He was originally at the TCC Arsenal facility where he was not thriving at all in a cubby style environment. He became shut down, aggressive, & and his eyes were almost in a constant state of dilation from the stress.

We were sort of at a standstill with him because he clearly wasn’t feral so wasn’t a candidate for release but was not adoptable in the state he was in there. So - I figured I’d give it a shot and see if he did better in a home environment and brought him home to the Legg kitty foster suite to give it a go.

I fully expected a project cat but I was wrong! As soon as he got here, he became an entirely different cat who’s eyes and demeanor completely relaxed!

He’s affectionate, vocal, & playful!

He’s also super low maintenance and really just loves relaxing and getting pets and sometimes even some face smooches!

He doesn’t love the other cats but he’s cat tolerant and currently lives in a room with multiple others. He would do okay with another chill cat that doesn’t want to be in his personal space all the time!

His only quirk is that he isn’t the biggest fan of being picked up but once I established trust with him I’m able to pick him up when needed!

Bowser is neutered, UTD on vaccines, FIV/FeLV negative, flea treated, & microchipped!

You can apply for Bowser using the link below!

https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HOTC/Cat

Our Mission
Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and find adoptive homes for the homeless cats in Philadelphia. We also pull cats from shelters that are at risk of euthanasia or release back to the streets. We foster rescued cats and provide veterinary care until an adoptive home is found.
