Bourbon's Story

Bourbon’s story is one of quiet strength, love, and a little bit of luck. Once an abandoned pet in a South Shore colony where several young cats had been left behind, Bourbon did everything she could to protect her kittens. Thankfully, a kind man in the neighborhood made sure she and her babies had food and safety until help arrived.

Now safe indoors with her wonderful foster family in Châteauguay, Bourbon is finally able to rest — and she’s showing just how special she is. Tame, gentle, and incredibly affectionate, she adores people and bonds quickly with anyone who shows her love. She purrs when spoken to, enjoys being brushed, and is happiest relaxing near her humans, radiating calm and gratitude.

Bourbon is still at the tail end of nursing her kittens, so some of her photos show her during that stage — she was such a devoted mom that it only felt right to capture her that way. Her babies are growing fast, and soon it will be her turn to be the one cared for and cherished.

At around two years old, Bourbon is a loving and intelligent cat who’s ready for her next chapter — one filled with warmth, safety, and affection.

Bourbon will come fully vetted — including deworming, defleaing, vaccines, FIV/FeLV testing, and sterilization — all included in her $300 adoption fee.

Rescue origin: South Shore abandoned colony
Currently in foster care: Châteauguay
Contact: Susan Mackasey for more information or to arrange a meet-and-greet.
