Boti's Story

Meet Madame Boti!

Born in summer 2022, Boti is domestic short-haired girl with a PhD in lap sitting. She may be shy at first and will need a little time to settle into a new home, but once she trusts you, she's one of the most affectionate cats you'll ever meet. If you're sitting down, don't be surprised if Boti is in your lap before you're even settled in!

This sweet gal loves pets and attention so much that she'll gently reach for your hand with her paw when she thinks you've stopped petting her too soon. It is the cutest thing! She's also quite chatty and isn't shy about letting you know when she wants something.

Boti is a laid-back companion who prefers cuddling over playing, though she'll occasionally show off a burst of energy. She doesn't enjoy being picked up an can be a bit nervous when approached while standing, so she's looking for a patient adopter who will let her come to them at her own pace.

Boti would do best as the only cat in the home. She's currently on a special lower calorie diet and has been making great progress towards a healthier weight.

If you're looking for a devoted cuddle buddy and world-class lap cat, Boti is ready to meet you!

Safe Haven for Animals's Adoption Policy
Our Adoption Process We have a clear and well-structured process in place to find the best possible homes for our animals in need. This process begins with you filling out our Adoption Request Form designed to collect important details and insights from potential adopters so we can match you with the best possible pet. Once complete, we move forward by setting up a visit for you to meet our cats in person. One of our Adoption Coordinators will provide a tour of our facility and introduce you to our available cats. Our adoption coordinators have extensive knowledge of every cat and can help answer questions about individual personalities, habits, and special needs. Should you decide to choose a specific cat during this meeting, we then schedule a home visit to deliver your new pet, ensure it’s a safe and suitable environment, and provide a care kit for the new pet. To support a smooth transition, we also make a follow-up call about a week later to see how everything is going to ensure both the adopter and the cat are settling in well together.
