Boots's Story

I am a bashful 1.5 yr old neutered male who was rescued from the cold. I was enjoying making the rounds on porches last summer, getting food and pets whenever I wanted. But, then winter arrived and I suddenly hated the vagabond life! Luckily, some humans that I had become friends with felt bad for me and brought me to Kaleidoscope. I was super confused and scared, but I felt a sense of comfort getting to rest in soft, warm blankies with yummy food. My skin was really itchy and I had old bug bites that had never healed. So, these nice humans soothed my skin and gave me lots of doses of TLC. I absolutely love human attention, I'll flop right over and ask for belly rubs while my body vibrates! As long as there's a human next to me, I feel great! But, I'm still working on my confidence when I'm out of my safe zones. I get spooked easily, especially if I'm alone. I just like reassurance that I'm safe and loved, that's all! I'm not sure what velcro is but I've heard that I'm quite similar to it when it comes to sticking to a human. I hope that's a good thing! The other kitties are totally cool to be around but I tend to keep to myself. I'm not sure about hyper dogs or kids since they might move around too fast for me but maybe a gentle one would be fine.
