Boogie's Story

Hi! My name is Boogie and here is a bit more about me :

My Journey
I was rescued along with my mom and siblings when a kind trapper helped us during a TNR at a playground near Fiesta Island. I spent my early months outdoors, learning how to observe the world carefully. Thanks to Smittens Rescue, I was given the chance to discover indoor life—and I quickly realized that cozy beds and warm naps are much better than cold, windy nights outside.

My Social Life
Other cats ? My very favorite companion is my sister. I adore her and feel most confident when she’s nearby. I enjoy the company of my foster family’s cats and love wrestling and chasing with my feline friends.
Dogs ? Kids ? I haven’t met dogs or mini humans yet, and I’m a bit cautious around adults at first. I prefer getting to know people through interactive play—fetching ping-pong balls or dancing after feather toys is my favorite way to connect.

My Personality
Thoughtful, curious, and quietly adventurous.
I love snuggling in cozy cat beds with my sister and have learned a lot by carefully watching the adult cats in my foster home. I start off cautious, but once I feel safe, my adventurous side comes out. I enjoy creating little forts under the bed, exploring cat trees and tunnels, and settling into spots where I can relax and observe the world. One of my favorite pastimes is watching pigeons at the bird feeder or enjoying the sunset from my playpen hammock.

I Enjoy...
Chasing ping-pong balls and dribbling them around like a tiny soccer star
Swatting and leaping after feather wand toys
Cozy naps in cat beds, hammocks, and tunnels
Watching birds and outdoor activity from a safe, sunny window

I’m Not a Fan Of...
I’m still learning to fully trust people after growing up outdoors, so I appreciate slow, gentle introductions and patience. Once I realize I’m safe, I relax and truly enjoy indoor life—especially when it means staying warm and dry during San Diego winters!

What Makes Me Special
I’m a light brown tabby kitten, and my foster says I look a little like a tiny white tiger... rrrraaar! ??
My polite, respectful personality has even won over the adult cats in my foster home.

My Perfect Home
My ideal home is one where I can continue building confidence at my own pace. Having my sister Burpie by my side would make me happiest, but I’ve learned that I can get along well with other friendly cats too. I’m adaptable, observant, and curious—and with time, patience, and love, I know I can thrive in many environments.
I’ve traded life outdoors for hammocks, windows, and warm naps, and I’m very excited to keep discovering how wonderful indoor life can be.
