Bongo's Story

Meet Bongo!
This handsome senior gentleman spent most of his life living a scrappy indoor–outdoor lifestyle with the person he adored. When his owner suddenly passed away, 15-year-old Bongo found himself completely homeless for the first time in his life. Thankfully, a kind rescuer scooped him up, got him fully vetted, and introduced him to the cushy comforts of indoor living—which he has wholeheartedly embraced.

Bongo is an independent guy at heart. While he’s grateful for safety and love, living among many other cats has been a bit overwhelming for him. He’s now searching for a calm, quiet retirement home where he can relax, decompress, and finally enjoy being someone’s center of attention.

At 16, Bongo’s bloodwork shows he’s in surprisingly good shape for a senior, with just a few manageable things being addressed to get him feeling his best. He enjoys gentle pets, cozy snuggles underneath the covers, and lounging on his favorite window perch to watch the world go by. He’s not a fan of being picked up and has a few opinions at times—but honestly, who doesn’t? ?

If you have a soft spot for seniors and room in your heart for a deserving older boy, Bongo would love nothing more than a peaceful home to enjoy for the rest of his golden years.

Adoption applications: rpaw.org
Adoption fee: Sponsored for this special gentleman!
