Bocelli's Story

Meet Bocelli, a stunning fella like the Italian opera singer whose name he has, was one of 20 cats who were DUMPED in a local neighborhood. Attempting to reduce that many cats is no easy task as most rescuers and shelters are overwhelmed right now. Fortunately, there were some dedicated individuals who did rescue them and Bocelli and his friendly self made his way to Second Chance.

Bocelli is a patch tabby with a gorgeous bottle nurse like tail. He is very curious and is very interested in your phone when trying to take a photo. He is a little shy with humans and who can blame him after what he must have endured. He has begun to like pets and he loves other kitties as he finds comfort with them.

Bocelli's adopter will need to be patient and persistent. The way to Bocelli's heart and confidence is dedicated play time, wet food (his favorite) and slow, gentle pets. We believe with time, Bocelli will trust his caregivers and will be a loving, warm companion.

We believe that kittens are happiest when they have a feline friend so Bocelli will need to be adopted with another kitten here or go to a home with an existing, playful cat. Bocelli would do best at this time with a quieter home with a lot of routine. A single adopter or a couple would likely be best.

Bocelli has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Bocelli has an approximate birthdate of 01/19/2025. His adoption fee is $120.

If you are interested in any Bocelli or any of the cats at Second Chance Cats of West Michigan, go to sccatswm.org/adopt to fill out an application, or stop in during open hours on Fridays from 11-2 or Saturdays and Sundays from 11-4.

Please note - we can only adopt to those who live within a one hour drive of Grand Rapids.
