Bobo's Story

Bobo is such a cute reddish tabby! She is really good looking despite her occasional grumpy face.

She got dropped off on a rainy day inside of a cardboard box with a note saying goodbye. This heartbreaking scenario was very emotional for the volunteers as they rushed to get her settled and dry her well.

Bobo was described in the note as violent against the family, but she has behaved like an angel at the vet and at the shelter. We discovered she is heavily matted and that might explain the aggression. While we work slowly to gain her trust and shave the mats without overwhelming her, we have discovered that Bobo is a lovely and misunderstood lady.

Bobo is okay with cats around her, although she doesn’t seem to enjoy the company too much. We do not recommend a family with children around just to be on the safe side. We do not think she would be okay with dogs, but we do not know the truth. We would like to see Bobo go to a quiet household where she can have the time to slowly feel comfortable and adapt to her new environments.

Visitors are limited to approved applicants only. Please fill out an adoption application if you are interested in stopping by. We will be in touch once your application is approved to set up a visit.

Adopt: lighthouseanimalshelter.org/adopt
Foster: lighthouseanimalshelter.org/foster
