Bobby's Story

Bobby is a very special cat and adored by everyone who meets him. He is approximately 5 years old and was living on the streets up until August 2025. He was found with a large ugly wound on the side of his neck that neighbors told us had been there for at least a year and a half. We assumed Bobby was feral and so we took him to the vet thinking he'd be treated for his wound, given antibiotics and set back to live outside once he'd healed. However, Bobby let us know right away he was *not* feral at all. Once inside, he immediately knew how to use the litterbox and demanded attention and affection from everyone he met. He had a lot of time to make up for! He is the kind of cat who loves to snuggle with his people on a comfy chair and purr and knead. He's a social butterfly who will greet strangers at the door and demand all the attention in the room. He loves to play with a fishing pole toy or to watch wildlife on YouTube, and is well past the kitten chaos stage. Bobby is FIV+, so it is recommended that he go to a home with other FIV+ cats or a home in which he is the only cat. He needs no special care at this time and FIV cannot be transmitted to dogs or humans. While Bobby does okay with other cats, he gets a little jealous when they are getting attention, so we think the perfect home where he can be the sole focus, as he deserves after all he's been through!
