BOBA's Story
On November 23, 2025, we were alerted by our friends at Feral Cat Solutions to a FeLV-positive kitty living in a colony in the Creston neighborhood—quite close to Feline Wellness Center.

At intake on 12/15/25, this handsome, intact, 3-year-old boy (hello, chubby cheeks!) showed mild oral inflammation, which is common in FeLV kitties and required a few dental extractions. He also had tapeworms from prior flea ingestion and a classic case of “Frito feet” (you know…when a cat’s paws smell inexplicably like corn chips and you can’t help but get the munchies after handling them—or is that just me?).

He already had a name given by his colony caretaker, and it fit him perfectly—Boba, like the sweet bubble tea made with tapioca balls…and, well, he was intact, if you catch my drift.

He has also earned himself the nickname Boba the Loaf. He has a way of hunkering down into his blankets so completely that he becomes one very solid, bread-like shape. Totally adorable.

The general consensus? We all want him. 😊

Boba is quietly, unassumingly sweet. He enjoys lounging up high on the catwalk but will slither down for affection the moment he spots Robin, our shelter manager. He can be a little skittish at first, but once he feels safe, his loving nature truly shines through. He is absolutely precious—and honestly, just about perfect.

We don’t expect Boba to be with us long. He’s exactly the kind of cat who slips into your heart before you even realize what’s happened…and stays there.
