Bo's Story

This is not your typical adoption profile. Think of it less as "cat seeks human" and more as "cat seeks cat."

Bo is a sleek obsidian gentleman who has made it perfectly clear: his heart belongs first and foremost to his fellow feline friends. He is a cat's cat through and through. He loves to rub up against his cat companions and in his foster home he's been a wonderful, steady buddy to the other kitties. If your resident cat has been gazing longingly at an empty second bed, Bo just might be the answer.

With people, Bo keeps things relaxed and on his own terms. He won't demand cuddles or smother you with attention, but he'll absolutely show up in the same room and settle nearby. Bo would like us to tell you that he is not a baby or stuffed animal, and prefers not to be picked up or held. He is a dignified gentleman after all. Come bedtime, however, don't be surprised to find him curled up on your bed, kneading biscuits into a fleecy blanket like the quiet little homebody he is.

He's a bit shy about hands reaching out to him, but jealousy has a funny way of softening his reserve. If another cat is getting pets, Bo will sidle right over to claim his share. A feather wand or a treat from your hand goes a long way too; offer one during playtime and he'll swipe the wand and vanish under the furniture with it like a smug bandit.

Bo would thrive in a calm home where another cat is already waiting for a companion. He's low maintenance, well mannered, and not looking for the extras. Just a furry friend to share naps, snacks, and sunbeams with, and a patient human who respects that friendship is earned at his pace.

If you have a lonely cat at home who could use a steady, chill companion, Bo is ready to be their cat.

To start the adoption process, an application must be completed and approved. You will find our full adoption process and the application at www.aarflove.org.

We also have kitty adoption events most Saturdays from 12-3pm, where you can meet and interact with some of our available kitties. See our website for more information.

All Animal Rescue & Friends (AARF)'s Adoption Policy
All of our pets are spay/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, including rabies if applicable, dewormed, deflead and microchipped, PRIOR to adoption. Our cats are Felv/Fiv tested as well. Our adoption amounts: DOGS 6 months and older ~ $400 PUPPIES younger than 6 months ~ $500. CATS and KITTENS 6 months older ~ $150. KITTENS younger than 6 months ~ $200. If you find a pet you would like to meet, please visit our website at www.aarflove.org to submit an application. We do not do actual adoptions at our events; the events are for applicants to meet our adoptable animals and for us to meet potential adopters. It's important to submit an application to be considered for adoption. Our animals are also not "first come, first serve" and forever homes are always chosen based on the best fit for each animal. All of our animals are in private foster homes so attending one of our events or by meet and greets, is the best way to get to know our adoptable pets.
